The Process
Our Web Site Design and Development Procedure
Contact Us
The First step in working with us is to complete the Contact Us form and outline your requirements. We will then contact you by phone to discuss your needs and arrange a meeting.
In the meantime we will send you a client questionnaire to be completed prior to our meeting which will assist both parties and save valuable time.
eMedia Worx are committed to our current clients and our priority is with them. When you become a client you will appreciate that we are committed to working on your site rather than delaying your job by continually answering requests for free advice and providing comparative quotes, so genuine enquiries only please.
When you deal with us you deal with the people who are working on your site rather than reception or sales staff. We prefer to work with a limited number of clients at any time, ensuring you receive personal attention, current search engine information and responsive service.
First Meeting
"Tell us about your business" will be the first question we will ask you at our meeting. You know your customers and the specifics of your business better than anyone and by defining your target market and discussing your operational procedure and business outcomes we can establish your requirements and make recommendations that we feel will best suit your business.
We will discuss your design brief, structure and the content of your site, plus outline application installation options that will best suit you and your online customers.
Following our meeting we will prepare a proposal and provide options as discussed and itemise all costs. On acceptance we require a signed development agreement and a deposit before we proceed. We then work with you from design to site launch and offer training for any application installations as well as provide continued assistance.
Domain Registration and Hosting
Your domain is the name of your site and its designated address and your hosting provider is the company that provides the space for it plus the online infrastructure for it to work. The first and most important step is to register your own domain and this can be done any time at our EMW Domain Name Registration site. EMW also offer various Web Hosting Packages and can arrange immediate registration and set up.
We recommend that your domain name is registered and hosting in place before site construction commences to take advantage of your own email address. (you@yoursitename.com.au) While your site is under construction a welcome page will be placed at your domain advising the public your site is coming soon with an email inquiry link to you.
Prepare and Provide Your Content
We require all content for your site prior to construction and provide a brief page by page 'content required' prompt in your proposal. Content includes; all content text, photos, logos (including any sponsor/supplier logos), price lists and product specifications, terms and conditions statements, refund policies, privacy statements, location maps, floor plans, product diagrams, any downloadable PDF's and other items required on your site.
We require all content to be supplied digitally if possible as charges will apply for keying in content tex and price lists. We have certain format guidelines for the delivery of content such as text, numerical data, links, multimedia, photographs, logos and line art and will send you a copy of these guidelines.
If you require your web site to conform with existing stationery we will need digital copies, if possible. Please supply a copy of your style guide, if you have one, to ensure that we use the correct fonts, colours and logo placement. If you are a new business and require Logo Design, style guide or any Graphic Design work please discuss at our first meeting.
Site Construction
Site construction begins with your unique template. We work with you to design an interface that reflects your current or proposed corporate identity. Once you are happy with the design and have supplied us with all content we begin construction.
Throughout the development cycle your site will be uploaded to a temporary location on our server by which we will require your feedback and suggestions. We encourage you to be involved throughout the entire process.
Site Release
Your completed site will be delivered to your domain and be available to the general public upon receipt of your final payment. We will send you a confirmation email advising that this has occurred and you are ready to announce the launch of your new web site.
After Launch
Announcing the release of your new site encourages feedback. Start with your family and friends and proceed to your regular customers, suppliers and agents. Initially this can be done by email, fax or as a normal part of business contact.
Now is the time to organise the printing of your stationery with your new web address, advertise your new site in local or industry specific publications and don't forget to include it in your next yellow pages advertisement.
Internet Marketing
Not only do your existing customers want to use your site it is even more important now to enable the general public and potential new clients, who will be searching for your products or services, to find you.
There are many ways to market your business online. Some of which include search engine optimisation, banner advertising, email newsletter marketing and link building.
At this stage we can provide you with consultancy on Internet and Search Engine Marketing services. We encourage a meeting if needed.
Ongoing Maintenance
We don't generally enter into any maintenance agreements as we don't believe they provide value for our customers. Web site updates or modifications are performed on request and charged at our scheduled rate at the time.
We do offer ongoing maintenance for certain marketing tasks including Link Development and PPC Management.
Please note any questions you may have or if you require any procedures to be explained further and we will be happy to discuss these with you at our first meeting. We provide the professional design skills that your business deserves.
